One of the biggest unanswered questions, along with ”Are we alive in the universe?” is the mystery surrounding the paranormal world and do ghosts really exist. This is still an unanswered question, but we hope to shed some light on the subject.
It’s not yet been proven by science that a paranormal world exists, but that doesn’t stop 43% of Americans believing in ghosts, according to a 2013 survey. We’re going to look at some hard-to-argue-with events, locations and technology so you can make your own mind up.
Eye-witness accounts are the most prevalent in suspected paranormal activity, but as with UFOs (unidentified flying objects) being considered aliens, the eye-witness accounts of unidentified objects, shapes and shadows doesn’t translate into paranormal activity or provide any kind of proof or evidence.
Of course, many of the eye-witness accounts may in fact be authentic and may actually be ghosts or spirits crossing over from the paranormal world, however there is absolutely no conclusive evidence to show that’s what it’s attributed to.
Further to eye-witness accounts, that we aren’t completely dismissing, is physical witnessing of paranormal activity and people claiming to be either touched or even harmed by a ghost or unseen entity. This may seem impossible or sound like a ludacris claim to gain some attention, but there have been many reports and even verified videos showing unseen entities causing physical harm to humans. Both towards investigators and innocent bystanders.
Some good examples that we have covered in detail would be Aokigahara Forest at the base of Mount Fuji in Japan, The MacKenzie Poltergeist at Greyfriars Kirkyard in Scotland, and Poveglia Island in Italy.
For anything resembling ”evidence” that a paranormal world exists, we’re going to refer to one of the most haunted buildings in the world, 30 East Drive in the UK. You may have heard this iconic address referred to as 30 East Street, The Pontefract Ghost, The Pontefract Poltergeist or the Black Monk Poltergeist. This little Yorkshire property gained international fame as the home of Europe’s most violent poltergeist.
We wanted to single out the investigation by Paranormal-X who were granted inside access to the haunted house. The team used Microsoft’s skeletal detection technology which uses an artificial intelligence infrastructure to detect skeletal movement through sensors. The evening was filmed and can be viewed here on Youtube (38 minutes into the video).
The team discovered what appeared to be the figure of a child and an adult, both of which reacted to their requests of movement, such as lifting an arm up, which the technology picked up. It’s not indisputable evidence, but it is certainly a key piece that adds to the ever-growing pile of proof that a paranormal world exists.
It may seem obvious that paranormal activity is largely linked to death as nearly everyone would agree that ghosts or spirits are people who have died, but what’s interesting is the nature of deaths where large numbers of people have died from illness or inhumane experiments. Mass hauntings occur largely within places of death, such as hospitals, mental institutions and locations where people have died like Waverly Hills Sanatorium.
We continue to believe that there is a paranormal world in some realm or reality or even somehow discreetly embedded within our own reality, but if there is, it seems that only select spirits are able to interfere with our world.
There are literally countless stories and events that have been directly linked to paranormal activity, so many so we can’t list them all, but you can visit our paranormal area for a complete library.
