The Six Flags, one of America’s most popular and famous theme parks, are bringing back the 30 hour coffin challenge this Halloween at their New England location.
If you haven’t heard about the challenge, it’s exactly what it sounds like. Six flags are challenging visitors to spend 30 hours in a coffin for the second consecutive year in a row.
Anyone able to handle 30 hours inside will receive $600 as a reward for spending nearly a day and a half as a vampire.
The life-sized coffin will be open above the shoulders while bathroom and meals breaks are allowed throughout the ordeal, making it a much more achievable goal.
So, if you’d like to take on the challenge of being a coffin-ridden vampire for 30 hours, you can register here for Six Flags’ Fright Fest Coffin Challenge. The competition will take place on October 12th-13th, timed perfectly to get people in the Halloween spirit.
If being stuck in a claustrophobic coffin for 30 hours doesn’t put you off, there’s additional scares with the ”Wheel of Fright”. The new additional may include challenges such as being blindfolded, eating bugs, and holding a snake.
Every participant will receive a pair of 2020 Gold Season passes, a pair of 2019 Haunted House passes and a pair of passes to skip a ride line, but only one will be victorious and receive the first place price of $600 cash in addition to the former.
It’s interesting Six Flags chose their New England location as this region of America actually has a strong history of real-life vampires, so much so that the residents actually beheaded corpses because they believed they came back from the dead to drain the life force from the living.
Do you have what it takes to vampirize yourself for 30 hours and stay confined to the Fright Fest coffin? If you plan to go or think you could win, let us know in the comments below!
