Establishing a credible foundation for UFO research is important and allows Ufology to be taken seriously, but that won’t happen with fake UFO sightings.
Many people across the internet report UFOs just to get a few clicks or views on their Youtube videos, but every time this happens, it contributes towards a much bigger issue.
With people sharing videos of clouds, balloons, drones, lens flares and light anomalies, claiming them to be ‘UFOs’ or ‘Aliens’, it defaces the credibility of real UFO research and the community becomes more isolated from science and fact.
Though many people are genuinely baffled by something they see in the sky, it would pay to spend some time researching what it could be before attributing it to an unidentified flying object and certainly before claiming it was of alien origin from another advanced civilization.
When debunked as nothing more than a unique cloud formation or a weather phenomenon, that’s puts another small dent in the research of UFOs and brings Ufology closer to myth and theory when each case or report should really bring us closer to science research and the discovery of super-intelligent aliens and advanced technology that would allow us to achieve interstellar travel.
The fake UFO reports have not only sectioned Ufologists off from credible science and physics communities, but some people even consider the belief in aliens as nonsensical and they have every right to think that about us researchers because people in the community have been known to make claims of aliens and mysterious alien crafts when in fact it was nothing more than a naturally occurring cause.
We are of course getting closer to an actual discovery, what with the Pentagon releasing videos of mysterious crafts that couldn’t be explained and Japan putting UFO protocols in place for fighter pilots, but nothing in history can be considered intangible evidence to the existence of another advanced alien civilization, despite everything seemingly pointing to that.
Do aliens exist? We believe so and we cover the question in detail here, but for a larger and credible collection of people to join the already hard-working UFO researchers, the fake UFO sightings need to come to a halt and the reports of unidentified flying objects should at least have a little research put into them before claiming it could be linked to super-intelligent aliens.
Due to the misconception of UFOs and the trivial claims of such sightings, the AHOM MMXX Department of Research will no longer use the term ‘UFO (unidentified flying object)’, but instead we will approach such with the term ‘UNAC (unidentified aerial craft)’.
AHistoryOfMystery will still contribute UFO articles, reports, videos and data for our community, but AHOM DOR will abandon the term ‘UFO’ altogether.
This will not only separate ourselves and other researchers from nonsensical UFO reports, but it will discard such sightings that have no potential chance of being a craft, vehicle or any type of machine and will focus research on credible links to an advanced race of beings from a planet other than earth.
We would like to thank everyone for the contributions to the UFO community, but as with all research, things change, develop and advance. The entire AHOM MMXX Department of Research are extremely dedicated to discovering another form of consciousness that is not of human origin and also researching, understanding and developing advanced technologies that may be used by advanced beings.
